Brooke Estates on Park Avenue in Highland Park consists of four buildings complete with a gatehouse, landscaped grounds, two outdoor ponds, two swimming pools and indoor underground parking for residents. The buildings may have been constructed in the late 1960s to 1970, but the condos have been well maintained and most have some major updates. The Rowhomes at Laurel Park are some of Highland Park’s trendier residences. When finished this development will have 12 condos and 30 row homes in prices ranging from about $900,000 to nearly $1.5 million. The homes are designed with the ultimate comfort and luxury of the buyer in mind.

Built in 1987, the condos on 560 Vine Avenue are some of Highland Park’s older but still very nice residences. It is sometimes difficult to find quality, affordable housing in the North Shore communities. This is especially true for younger couples, students or older couples looking for a down-sized home. New construction is often few and far between, and the pricing can sometimes be prohibitive, so it pays to check out some of the older buildings and condos.

Unit number 403 at this location came up for sale and was listed for $199,900. It’s a two bedroom, two bath condo with two parking spaces in the carport. The condo sits on the top level of the building and is described as being light-filled and ready for move-in. A lot of improvements have been made, such as new oak hardwood cabinets in the kitchen and both baths. The L shaped dining room also sported new built-in shelving made from oak.

Udell is close to the Metra station, the Plaza and plenty of restaurants and entertainment spots to keep you busy. You can grab a quick bite to eat or enjoy a sit down meal, take in a show at a theater or browse through some of the local shops, most of which are within walking distance of Udell. The local library is only a couple of blocks away, so after checking out a good book you can easily be seated next to Lake Michigan for an afternoon of reading.

Unit sizes available include studios and one bedroom, one bath residences. Nearly all of the apartments feature high ceilings, walk-in closets, large dining rooms and remodeled kitchens.
