Built in 1987, the condos on 560 Vine Avenue are some of Highland Park’s older but still very nice residences. It is sometimes difficult to find quality, affordable housing in the North Shore communities. This is especially true for younger couples, students or older couples looking for a down-sized home. New construction is often few and far between, and the pricing can sometimes be prohibitive, so it pays to check out some of the older buildings and condos.

Unit number 403 at this location came up for sale and was listed for $199,900. It’s a two bedroom, two bath condo with two parking spaces in the carport. The condo sits on the top level of the building and is described as being light-filled and ready for move-in. A lot of improvements have been made, such as new oak hardwood cabinets in the kitchen and both baths. The L shaped dining room also sported new built-in shelving made from oak.

The galley style kitchen has ceramic tile flooring and comes with an appliance package including a refrigerator, range with oven, microwave, garbage disposal and dishwasher. A washer and dryer also goes with the unit. The bedrooms have newer carpeting, and a walk-in closet measuring 9×6 simplifies clothing storage. Most of the condo rooms are carpeted, including the living room and dining room.

Heating is provided by a gas force air system and the monthly assessment fees cover water, insurance, trash disposal, lawn and exterior care and snow removal. If you’re looking for a place to live in Highland Park, these Vine Avenue condos should be on your list of possible choices.
