Driving down Hickory Street will take you past an eye catching group of new rowhomes that enclose an inviting landscaped courtyard. The exterior of the rowhomes is a mix of brick, stucco and stone, giving them a classic yet modern look. The development has a gated entry for security, and at around $1.1 million per home you might expect a little exclusivity.
A typical townhome in this development contains three bedrooms and three baths plus a powder room. The rowhomes are all three story buildings and square feet of living space runs on average 3,566 per residence. The layouts are similar, with a large combined dining and living room with gas starter fireplace. A big family room is the perfect place to spend some quality time with the kids or host guests on holidays. A utility/laundry room is ready with washer and dryer hook-ups, plus a room that can be used as an office, library or hobby room is waiting to be customized.
The chef quality kitchen contains the usual roster of appliances plus a freezer. Nifty design perks also include a pantry, island, table area and breakfast bar. In the master bath a whirlpool tub, double sink and separate shower are standard. Hardwood flooring runs throughout most rooms except for carpeting in the bedrooms.
A full basement provides even more space to personalize. Zoned central air conditioning and two gas furnaces with humidifier, air cleaner and individual controls are installed here. And parking when you come home is simple with the two spaces provided in the underground heated garage.
These rowhomes may not have the spectacular views that 600 N. Lake Shore Drive has, but they are every bit as luxurious and pets are welcome.
